A multifaceted imbalance

SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth) is one of the most little-known digestive disorders among the general public, although it affects millions of people worldwide today. Often confused with candidiasis, parasitic infections, or irritable bowel syndrome, this imbalance in the gut microbiota reveals with striking clarity how our modern diet has disrupted the ancestral balance of our digestive system.

What is SIBO?

SIBO is characterized by an overgrowth of bacteria in the small intestine and/or a change in the types of bacteria present in this area of the digestive system. Normally, the majority of intestinal bacteria are concentrated in the colon, but in the case of SIBO, they migrate and proliferate abnormally in the small intestine, creating true digestive chaos.
